Installation Process

The initial consultation, order and installation process is the same as manual shades. The only difference is shades must be programmed and synced to the PowerView® system during installation. Battery packs mount out of sight behind the headrail and shades can also be hardwired to constant power if preferred.

Choosing Which Windows to Automate

We recommend motorizing shades where convenience, privacy or efficiency are important rather than selecting specific rooms. Consider hard to reach windows, windows needing regular light modulation or scheduling, and windows visible from neighboring properties.

Operation and Maintenance

Change batteries yearly to ensure flawless operation. Clean shades periodically with a duster or vacuum. Refer to the Hunter Douglas support site for troubleshooting motorization issues.
